Preparing For Your Inspection

Rid the areas around your home of plant growth, stored items, and trash cans.

Get vehicles, boxes, and stored items away from attic access and unlock access hatces.

Clean out cabinets under sinks for plumbing fixture inspections, and remove items and storage from water and furnace area.

Remove items around the electrical panel area to ensure easy access for the inspector.

Replace any burned-out light bulbs in your home.

Ensure that all gas appliance pilots are lit.

Make arrangements during the inspection for any pets  that may be a concern.

Unlock garage doors, closets, pantry, and any other doors the inspector needs to access.

Disarm the alarm before the inspector enters the home and reset alarm after inspection.
